All seems A-OK to me!

Chillax nikitash, he's only having a laugh, and to be fair, you did laugh at the prospect of him being infected with malware. No need to get personal ;)

@nikitash

I apologize for upsetting and offending you. Those were not my intentions at all and I meant no disrespect. I was simply trying to be humorous. Everyone has a different sense of humor and apparently ours are not in line.

I see that your location is India and I have noticed that your English is a little off at times, but still very good if it is a second language, which leads me to believe that India might be where you were born and that English is not your primary language. Is this true? Assuming this is true; maybe cultural differences and things lost in translation are the cause of our misunderstanding.

As you have read, rsvr85 was not offended or bothered by my comments but rather embraced them and made similar jokes. He understands that i was just playfully joking and meant no harm.

Anyways, I just want you to understand that anyone whose first language is English would have most likely responded positively and with a smile to my comments as rsvr85 did. I literally laughed out loud at his replies. It has been a fun, entertaining, and educational thread for me. I'm sorry you did not see it the same way. I hope you accept my apology and once again thank you for all your input. :)

@rsvr85

You underestimate the size and diversity of my virtual arsenal, I have a few virtual nukes lying around that'll take out that there firewall of yours and open up a nice unguarded path of destruction leading my foot right to the sack that houses your un-born children! So take that! :lol:

Now back to reality. Alright, I guess I'll simply do a clean install of W7 RTM but I'll do it on another PC I have, hardware wise it's superior to my current PC. The PC that has the RC, we'll I'm going to do the upgrade just to see if it clears up the whole explorer.exe crashing problem this thread is about. I'll let all of you know what happens.

That is all.

SOLVED!

Kind of... and one last question.

@ rsvr85
rsvr85 wrote:
Why not just clean install W7 RTM now. Why bother trying to upgrade RC to RTM? (Trust me, it is possible)

Well, I finally upgraded the RC to RTM and that took care of the problem. Technically not a fix but it's a RC so I finally gave up. It was probably never worth the effort but i just hate letting the machines win. Next thing you know the terminator's at your door and atom bombs are blooming behind him and you'll think to yourself, if only we would have figured out that darn RC problem... Anyway, thanks for the link to the instructions on how to do it. I included the URL below in case anyone else wants to check it out:

And now my question. Do you, or does anyone else, know if there are any major, or minor, negatives to doing an upgrade from Windows 7 RC to RTM? My home PC also has the RC installed which I’d rather just upgrade instead of doing a clean install for time’s sake but if there are some major negatives to doing this I guess I’ll have to do a clean install someday in an imaginary land where I actually have some free time. :)

@ nikitash

Your last post proves you do not understand my humor and that's okay, my comments were a little on the abstract side and would not make sense to most people whose first language is not English. Additionally it wasn’t that funny but in no way and at no time was I acting disrespectful or indiscipline nor hurting or insulting anyone's feelings. I just wished you understood that. The fact that you still believe I was acting this way is insulting to me but don’t worry I’m not losing any sleep over it. If you were insulted, your feelings were hurt, you thought I was being disrespectful or indiscipline I'm sorry but again that only proves you did not understand my comments.

I’m assuming you’ll disagree but simply put, my comments do not warrant your response. Your reactions to my comments are an extreme over reaction. My comments plus your reactions do not add up or make sense. That was a bit redundant but it bears repeating. :)

The irony of the situation is that you are actually the only person on this thread that disrespected, insulted and attacked anyone. That person of course was me but it didn’t bother me because I realized your attacks were based on a misunderstanding.

The point I’m trying to make is that I don’t want you to become an un-intentional internet bully. If someone were to read this thread you would stand out as the rude person, not me and I don’t think you realize that. Even a Moderator of the site said:

In the end it’s not a big deal at all rather a minor misunderstanding between two people stemming from language and cultural differences. Sorry for the rants, I’m not mad at you at all its just that your remarks are frustrating and bewildering.

benodiktine- I would have thought that a "clean install" would be be the better option. I did a clean install of W7 Ultimate over Vista Home Premium on my laptop and everything is "just perfect" now. :)
No "major or minor negatives" whatsoever with a clean install!

Oh dear nikitash!
That sort of comment isn't tolerated.

EDIT: This thread is now locked

@ benodiktine. If you'd like to start another thread, please feel free.
